The privacy practices of this statement apply to our Services (as defined under our Terms and Conditions) available under the domain and sub domains of whosify.io (“Website”) and such other websites and mobile device applications operated by us through which we render Services to you from time to time (collectively or individually, “WHOSiFY”).

This Privacy Policy also applies generally to our affiliates, subsidiaries or joint venture websites (where applicable).By visiting and using the Website, downloading WHOSiFY or by accessing WHOSiFY via any websites referenced or linked to the Website (the “Linked Websites”) you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree please do not use or access WHOSiFY or the Services.

This Privacy Policy describes the information, as part of the normal operation of our Services; we collect from you and what may happen to that information. All of our affiliates, subsidiaries and joint ventures operate under similar privacy practices as described in this Privacy Policy and, subject to the requirements of applicable law.

INFORMATION COLLECTED OR RECEIVED

We may collect personal information when you browse WHOSiFY, sign up for WHOSiFY Services, use WHOSiFY Services, or when otherwise you provided us information. The collection of your personal information will be for a lawful purpose directly related to a function or activity of WHOSiFY as described in the Terms or this Privacy Policy. The provision of information is always voluntary, but please understand that certain Services may not be available to you until you provide the requested information.

Occasionally, we may be legally required to share your personal information with courts or regulators (for example, if we receive a court order demanding the disclosure of information). We will endeavour to notify you of such sharing in advance, unless we are legally forbidden to do so.

As a WHOSiFY user you need to provide a valid email address at registration and choose a username or alias that may represent your identity on WHOSiFY.

Depending on which of the Services you choose to use, we may require additional information, such as address, company information, telephone number, and/or a social media profile.

We may contact users to request more information about their identities, businesses or items listed on WHOSiFY on a confidential basis, to ensure compliance with our rules and policies.

You may optionally choose to provide your full name and other personal information (such as birthday, address, company information) to other users on WHOSiFY in connection to your account and activity.

Your username or alias is publicly displayed and connected to your WHOSiFY activity. Other people may see your profile information, listed items, on WHOSiFY.

We automatically receive and record some information from your browser when you use WHOSiFY, such as your IP address, cookies and data about which pages you visit on WHOSiFY through the use of log files provided by our third-party tracking-utility partners.

This information helps us analyse and understand how WHOSiFY works for users and visitors, and provide a more personalised experience for users and visitors.

Some users or visitors may connect to or register a WHOSiFY account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook.

We may receive some data and information from those connected third-party applications and the data and information we receive from those channels are also governed by this Privacy Policy Connecting your WHOSiFY account  to third-party applications or services is optional.

We may receive or collect information (e.g. email address) about a person who is not yet a registered WHOSiFY user(“non-user”) in connection with certain WHOSiFY features, including but not limited to: a non-user subscribing to a WHOSiFY newsletter, a user inviting a non-user to visit the Website or to download the App onto their mobile device, or a non-user engaging in a transaction.

Non-user information is subject to this Privacy Policy and is used only for the purpose for which it was originally submitted to us.

WHOSiFY’s Terms and Conditions require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age (or have the permission and supervision of a responsible parent or legal guardian), therefore, this policy does not discuss use of WHOSiFY or the Services by minors.

 

YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO THE INFORMATIONWE COLLECT

We give you the choice of accessing, providing, editing or deleting certain information, as well as choice over how we contact you. You may change or correct your WHOSiFY account information and WHOSiFY profile information (except your username).

You may remove certain optional information you no longer wish to be publicly visible, such as your full name.

For various reasons, WHOSiFY may contact you about our services or your activity. Some of these messages are required, service-related messages for members.

Other messages are not required, and you can control which optional messages you choose to receive by contacting WHOSiFY Support via email at info@whosify.io

If you have optionally connected your account to an external, third-party application, such as Facebook, you can remove permission for such external third-party application by changing your account settings.

If you no longer wish to use the services available on WHOSiFY,receive service-related messages, and delete all your personal infomatons, you may close your account by notifying WHOSiFY Support via email at info@whosify.io 

 

SECURITY

The security of your personal information is important to us.

WHOSiFY has implemented security measures designed to protect the Personal Information you share with us, including physical, electronic and procedural measures. Among other things, we offer HTTPS secure access to most areas on our Services, and the transmission of sensitive payment information (such as a credit card number) through our designated purchase forms is protected by an industry standard SSL/TL Sencrypted connection. We also regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and regularly seek new ways and third party services for further enhancing the security of our Services and protection of our visitors’ and users’ privacy.

However - while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information, your customers’ information or any other content you upload, publish or otherwise share with WHOSiFY or anyone else. It is important that you protect against unauthorised access of your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure by signing out after using our services.

DATA RETENTION, ERASURE  AND DE-IDENTIFICATION

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or suspended, or there is a legal complaint or audit relating to your WHOSiFY activity.

If you no longer want us to use your information to provide you services, you may close your WHOSiFY account.

We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our agreements and/or protect our legitimate interests.

As always, you can contact us to request for correction to your personal data in our system, and we will make necessary correction to the data if we are satisfied that the personal data to which your correction request relates is inaccurate. Before we can process a request, we have to make sure it is you making the request and thus we may ask for your identity or authorisation documentation.

We will take all practical steps to erase your personal data held when the data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was used by us, unless any such erasure is prohibited under any law or regulation or it is in the public interest not to have the data erased.
